Acne occur on a person’s face as soon as they reach puberty. A single red colored and sometimes puss filled boil on the face is called a pimple while a cluster of pimples are called acne. These have excess oil which is secreted or gets trapped in skin pores. These look very unsightly and can pop up at the most unexpected time. But now you need not worry as there are some simple steps to avoid the occurrence of acne all together by following a healthy and nutritious diet.
This is the basic step in trying to remove acne. These come due to oil accumulation in skin pores. One should use a gentle exfoliator or scrub to remove such full oil glands and open the skin pores and clean the pores of any bacteria or oil. This removes the dead skin cells also and gives way to the newer and healthier skin beneath
Use a mild scrub as using a harsh one can cause skin abrasion and lead to open pores. Scrub gently over the pimples and rinse well.
Certain home remedies also work great on pimple marks. Ice massage on the pimple prone area cools down the inflamed open pores causing them to contract immediately.
Take a ice cube and rub it over your pimples for 5 minutes. This will help reduce the inflammation and redness.
Spot treat your pimples using toothpaste
The cooling properties and the strong mint present in a toothpaste also helps in closing the pores and cooling the skin thus reducing pimple marks.
Apply toothpaste over your pimples overnight and let dry. Wash it off the next day.
Apply Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is made from fermented and unfiltered apple juice. This vinegar has the ability to fight many types of bacteria. It also contains many organic acids that can kill acne bacteria. Apple cider vinegar has succinic acid that also reduces inflammation caused by this bacteria. You can dilute the apple cider vinegar with two parts water and apply the mixture gently on the acne using a cotton ball. Let it sit for sometime and then rinse off. You can repeat this process twice a day.
Apply A Honey And Cinnamon Mask
Honey and cinnamon are loaded with antibiotics and antibacterial properties. They have the ability to fight bacteria and reduce inflammation.
You can mix 2 tablespoons honey and 1 teaspoon cinnamon together to form a paste. Apply this mask on your face and let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with water and pat your face dry.
Tea Tree Oil
You can spot treat your acne or pimples using tea tree oil. It is a very potent oil and should be diluted before applying directly on the skin. It has the ability to fight bacteria and reduce skin inflammation.
Take two to three drops of diluted tea tree oil in a cotton ball. Dab it gently on your face and let sit for some time. Wash off with water and pat dry. Repeat this process twice daily for best results.
